Tropical Resort Jobs is part of the Caribbean Hotel Jobs network of job sites, run by the same team. Where this page says Caribbean Hotel Jobs, it covers Tropical Resort Jobs too.

These terms are the agreement between you and Caribbean Hotel Jobs ("we", "us") when you use caribbeanhoteljobs.com. By using the site, applying for a job or creating an account, you agree to them. Please read them, they are short.

What we do

Caribbean Hotel Jobs is an online job board. Employers in hospitality post jobs, and job seekers find and apply for them.

We are not an employer, a recruitment agency or a party to any job offer or employment contract made through the site. Decisions about hiring, pay and working conditions are made by the employer and the job seeker.

Who can use the site

  • You must be at least 16 years old and old enough to work where the job is.
  • You must give true information about yourself and, if you are an employer, about your business.
  • Employer accounts must belong to a real business, and you must be allowed to hire for it. Recruitment agencies must say they are an agency and hold any licence the law requires where they recruit.

Your account

  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One person per job seeker account.
  • You can close your account at any time in Settings.

Rules for employers

  • Only post real jobs that are open now and that you are allowed to fill.
  • Never ask a job seeker for money, including for applying, interviews, training, uniforms, travel, visas or work permits. Breaking this rule means immediate removal.
  • Describe the job, pay and benefits honestly, and keep listings up to date.
  • Follow the employment, immigration and anti-discrimination laws of the place where the job is.
  • Only use applicants' information to consider them for your jobs. Do not sell it, share it or add people to marketing lists.
  • Follow our posting guidelines.

Rules for everyone

  • No spam, scams, harassment, hate, or illegal or misleading content.
  • Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, or anything harmful such as malware.
  • Do not copy the site's content in bulk, scrape it, overload it or try to get around its security.
  • Do not pretend to be someone else.

Your content

You own what you post. You allow us to store, show and share it as needed to run the service. For example, we show job listings to the public and to search engines, we may also show them on other job search websites (always linking back to the job here, where people apply), and we send your application to the employer you apply to. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.

Verified employers

A "Verified" tick means we checked that the employer is a real, registered business and spoke to someone there. It does not guarantee a job, the conditions of a job, or anything the employer says or does. Always use your own judgement. See how to stay safe.

Fees and refunds

The site is free for job seekers, always.

Employers can keep one job live at a time for free. Paid plans, extras and services for employers are listed on our pricing page and services page, with the price shown before you buy. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply.

  • Yearly plans renew each year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; your plan stays on until the end of the year you paid for, and then your account moves to the Free plan.
  • Three-month seasons are paid once and do not renew by themselves. We remind you two weeks before a season ends.
  • Monthly plans, where offered, are paid by card and renew each month until you cancel.
  • Plan limits apply to putting new jobs live. Going over a limit, for example after moving to a smaller plan, never takes a live job down.
  • Extras such as Spotlights, featured employer spots, job write-ups and work-permit advert packs are one-off purchases. Services our team carries out are done within the time shown when you buy.
  • Quoted services (Recruit for me and pre-opening campaigns) start once we have agreed the scope and price with you in writing. We may ask for half up front. For Recruit for me, the fee is due when your hire starts, and if they leave within 90 days we search again at no charge.
  • Work-permit advert packs help you prepare and document your advertising. They do not replace any advertising the law requires, and decisions on permits are made by the authorities.
  • Prepaid credit can be spent on extras for 12 months from purchase.
  • Founding employers who joined before the date shown on the pricing page get the features of our top plan free until the date shown there, with no card needed. Plan periods that start within 12 months of that date are charged at the launch prices shown to founding employers.
  • Applicant promise: if a job on a paid plan, or a Spotlighted job, receives fewer than 5 applications in its first 30 days, we extend it by 30 days and Spotlight it again at no charge, once per job. This is our only promise about applications.
  • Payment is by bank transfer against an invoice (in US dollars, or in EC dollars at 2.70 where we offer it), or by card through a payment partner, who may send its own receipt. Invoices are due within 15 days, or 30 days with a purchase order. Bank charges are paid by the sender.

Our refund policy applies to everything you buy. We will tell you at least 60 days ahead before we raise the price of a plan you are on; the new price applies from your next renewal.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep the site running and the listings genuine. But we cannot promise that the site will always be available or free of errors, that any job will be filled or any applicant hired, or that what users post is accurate. Report anything suspicious to hello@caribbeanhoteljobs.com.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost opportunities, or for what employers or job seekers do. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Employers' responsibility

If you are an employer and your listing or conduct breaks the law or these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and claims this causes us.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Problems and complaints

If something goes wrong, email hello@caribbeanhoteljobs.com first. Most problems can be solved quickly that way.
